For the old media that I had deep impression is Diskette, if you were born in between 1990-2000. You might probably know what is diskette, but now is very rare to saw diskette. The use of a diskette is to save your files and documents, the user also can use diskette to work their stuff or preview. The capacity of a diskette is actually very small, maximum of the storage space can only go to 4MB, so imagine you have a lot of files need to be save, you needed many diskette to help you to store it.
As the new media that replaced diskette is Thumb drive, in this generation I think all of us are familiar with thumb drive. The use of thumb drive is very wide, it can save large capacity of data and documents. It able to play music and videos everywhere that have media player, it’s make much easier and convenient for our life. 
Thumb drive also can be customize, a lot of nice unique design thumb drive out there.
Thurs, new media made our life more interesting and made our life easier. On the hand, we can share our data and document to our friends, sharing is caring. Everything is possible to have in 1 device. One more most important thing to bring up, old media should not be forgot.
